Cardiovascular Fluid Dynamics Lab at Concordia University

  • Development of a Cardiac Ultrasound Dataset and a Cardiologist-Approved Grading Scheme

  • Development of an Autonomous Robotic System for Remote Quantitative Cardiovascular Ultrasound Imaging that will provide consistent monitoring of cardiovascular health, as well as detection and staging of pathology evolution.

MSc in Physics (2018-2021)

Multimodal Functional Imaging Lab at Concordia University

  • Studied the hemodynamic response via functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) in simultaneous cognitive and motors tasks and using variability in brain activity and gait as an indicator of age-related cognitive decline.

Analog Astronaut Training Center, AATC (October 2020)

Krakow, Poland

  • Served as Research Lead during Mission Control segment of analog astronaut mission.

  • Human Factors research studying workload and memory under isolation conditions.

Space Health Division at Concordia University (2019-2022)

  • Oversaw projects related to human immune response research and the development of a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) feedback device.

  • Consulted and performed data acquisition for Neptec (MDA) in the continuous development of fNIRS portable brain imaging sensors for pilots (Contract with the Canadian Space Agency as of April 2019: Development of Health Technologies for Deep Space Missions) through Multimodal Functional Imaging Lab at Concordia University.

  • Worked with a team of medical technology professionals and academics in the development of brain imaging software and conducted acquisitions involving MRI and fNIRS, signal processing and analysis of fNIRS data.

  • Worked alongside design quality engineering and regulatory affairs teams in technical documentation and submission for 510K approvals.

  • Developed technology products in compliance with ISO 13485 – Quality Management Systems (Medical Devices) and FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 14971 (Risk Management, Medical Devices), and IED 62366-1 (Application of Usability Engineering to Medical Devices).
